Mr. Jai- As the post production phase came to an end, I asked L’Dai to send me a folder with all of the songs we’ve ever recorded. I had an idea to blend all of the songs for a glorious intro because many listeners are unfamiliar with the extent of our rich catalogues. I had a vague memory of what Nas did on the intro to his third album. I know Jay-Z and Rocafella did it once and Ashanti had a brief recap of all of the songs she released previous to her debut album. Intros were very memorable back then. So, reality sat in and I noticed we had too many songs to fit into a three minute intro. Originally, I left a couple songs off due to slow tempos. I decided to blend the most memorable verses from each song. That mix was actually close to nine minutes long (Which was released as the Plugged In Prequel on Mixcloud). Afterwards, I gave it two more attempts. The final version was actually composed of only the hooks from the selected songs. I reworked the song order and it timed out around six minutes. I decided to close it with the Urbanflosaurus Interview with Moose because people need to understand the purpose of our journey. This mix can jam by itself or it can be skipped to get directly to the new material on track two.
