Mr. J’ai- For months, L’Dai told me I should do a song about the current events in Baton Rouge, Louisiana concerning the “new” city of St. George. A group of aristocrats in the city had been working to take a portion of town and create its own community. Hence, this includes many of the newer neighborhoods, roads, and other developments. Last year, the proposition made the ballot (after the redrew boundaries, etc.) and it passed. I wish I would have recorded this song a year ago. Many citizens who were in the old boundaries were not able to vote in the last election. Still, there are many people who are for the new plans. Hopefully, this can be a soundtrack for the opposition.

L’Daialogue- I saw something a while back on YouTube talking about how they were trying to split up Baton Rouge into 2 cities almost. Now, I’m from Memphis. From a hood perspective, North Memphis and South Memphis are “split” but we never had a politician come out and say “let’s cut the city in half”. Also, I didn’t hear any other rappers from Baton Rouge talk about it so I know J’ai was right for the record. I mean, we could have done a jig record but we’re talking about what’s REALLY happening in Baton Rouge. So, this record might open some dialogue (pardon the pun) up about what’s happening from the other side of the city.
